I have received five applications for the post of Assistant
Apothecary and Analyst, Hong Kong, therein referred to.
I have, as you requested been incommunication with
Dr. Koch and he and I considered these applications together last week when we selected three of the applicants for the purpose
of interviewing them.
To-day we have seen these three gentlemen and we have agreed to recommend Mr. Gerald Lenton of 37 Everton Valley,
Liverpool for the appointment.
Mr. Lenton is 26 years of age and was a Student in this
Society's School in which he obtained a Certificate of Honour in
Chemistry being proxime accessit to the Silver Medallist in his
year. He has had good pharmaceutical and analytical experience and fulfils the conditions required by you. I have much pleasure
in recommending hin as,apart from his technical qualifications,
he is a man who would be a good colleague with whom one could t
work in comfort.
